References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
- C-section experience required.
- Must be proficient in fetal monitoring and the actions taken for fetal distress.
- Must be able to care for patients with pre-eclampsia.
- Clinical background in high-risk patients.
- Must be able to function in L&D and couplet care; LDRPs may be used as couplet care beds when census is low.
Unit Details:
- Uses Allscripts.
- No in-house OB/neonatologist; nurses must be able to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule minimum.
- Call: 1 shift per 4-week schedule.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to ED or MedSurg if experienced.
- May float to other hospital units if needed, usually MedSurg.
