Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers not accepted. Required clinical skills: IV therapy/phlebotomy, administration of blood and blood products, drawing venous blood, start and maintain peripheral IVs, use of infusion pumps/drips/IV monitoring, amnioinfusion, assist with vaginal delivery, circulate for C-section, forceps/vacuum extraction, hemorrhage/shock, recover C-section, sterile vaginal exam, antepartum, community level experience, facility births/month <100, LDRP, Level I Nursery, Mother/Baby, antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), prostaglandins, terbutaline, collect cord samples, ID/security banding, assist with circumcision/assess site post-op, car seat education, cord care, discharge teaching to parents, infant identification, metabolic screen, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, phototherapy, teach circumcision care to parents, thermoregulation, NST (Non Stress Tests), reflex checks/edema assessment/clonus, triage of obstetrical patients, use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), baby friendly protocols, breastfeeding support/lactation support, episiotomy/incisional care, Foley catheter insertion, fundus/lochia/perineum care, use of electric/manual breast pump, wound assessment and care, postpartum care for bladder distension, cesarean section, couplet care, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy induced hypertension, vaginal delivery, D & C, tubal ligation, epidural anesthesia, general anesthesia, opioids, pain assessment and management, use of PCA (IV), isolation precautions/PPE, vaccine administration, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, spiral electrode placement, use of external and internal fetal monitoring, use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, and post operative gynecology (hysterectomy) care.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Community hospital experience is preferred. Preferred skills: assist with high-risk delivery, scrub for C-section, low-risk work setting, anticoagulants, anticonvulsants, APGAR scores, neonatal resuscitation, radiant warmers/thermoregulation, assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), cervical cerclage, infant/neonatal arrest, and use of Rapid Response team.
Required Credentials: Must have a MO license and be in the process of applying for a KS license, or vice versa, or hold compact licensure to apply.
Preferred Credentials: AWHONN Advanced preferred.
Special Requests: If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up.
Unit Details: Charge RN assignments as needed per unit. Neonatal, adolescent, and adult patient population with pregnancy-related care. Vaginal birth, c-sections, postpartum care in an LDRP model, antenatal testing (NSTs, BPP on unit by radiology), post-op GYN, external cephalic version, and antepartum patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation: 4-6 weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) and 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule. Holiday requirements: 1 major holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) and 1-2 minor holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day). Call required: 2 mandatory on call shifts each 6-week schedule. RTO: No more than 7 days.
Floating Requirements: RN is expected to care for any patient assignment within the LDRP unit (triage, c-section case, including circulating, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum). Full couplet care is required. Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
