    Additional Information

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

    Additional Details:

At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have acute care experience and comfort with complex patients. Must have experience with drips and be comfortable managing blood transfusions and titrating drips as needed.

Special Requests: Will not take travel pairs or part of a travel pair. Will work with travelers on scheduling requests, but block scheduling cannot be guaranteed and may be accommodated when possible. Must disclose any previous Marshfield employment; if previously worked for Marshfield, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission. Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Unit Details: Nurse:patient ratios are Day/Eve 1:4-5 and Noc 1:6, with possible though uncommon ratios up to 1:7 if working short. Common patient populations include oncology/hematology, general medical, GI bleed, PE/DVT, sepsis, CHF/COPD, pneumonia, failure to thrive, and weakness. Oncology or chemotherapy knowledge is not required; internal nurses meet treatment needs. Common titratable or set-rate drips include insulin, heparin, cardizem, nitro, amiodarone, and octreotide. Centralized tele techs monitor and read strips; nurses are not required to read their own strips, but RNs are expected to be tele aware and can view basic rhythms on unit monitors. Charge nurse and house supervisor are present on all shifts; charge nurses carry modified assignments, and travelers may be asked to step into charge if they are comfortable, especially on night shift. RT is available 24/7; patients may require continuous CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow O2.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Holiday requirements are 2 of 3 winter holidays and every other holiday during other times. No call. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements: First to float within med-surg units; outside med-surg only for observer need or helping hands/tasking. Floating is done in 4-hour increments.

Travel RN Job Salary & Responsibilities

Your travel RN salary is based on your specialty, experience, and where you secure your assignment. Registered Nurse job descriptions focus on technical knowledge and supervisory skills; attention to detail; and communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in critical situations. But, an RN’s responsibilities also require a combination of compassion, patience, and resilience.

This isn’t news to you. You came to Trusted because you’ve tried RN staffing agencies without the personal support you need. This doesn’t surprise us, either. We’re a team of Trusted nurses who’ve been in your shoes (those comfy, non-slip shoes). We’ll help advance your career on your terms.
