Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience:
- 24 months of current Med Surg / Medical Surgical experience required.
- Pulmonary patient care experience required.
- Recent/current charge experience required.
- Will accept first-time travelers if the 2+ years Med Surg experience requirement is met.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience caring for pulmonary/ventilated patients on BiPAP and with trach care highly preferred.
Special Requests:
- Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees who currently work, or worked within the past 12 months, in another UPH market are not eligible for this travel assignment. This separation policy does not apply to prior UPH travel employees.
Unit Details:
- Pulmonary/Med Surg patient population.
- May care for COVID+ patients.
- Heparin drips.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays, unless the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements:
- Traveler will be required to float across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran.
