Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient population. 2000 is divided into 2100 and 2200. 2100 is a medical/surgical unit with typically shorter turnover of patients and infectious patients. 2200 is more surgical pre/post, servicing ortho and general surgery service lines. Due to the ortho patient population, infectious patients are not assigned to this unit unless there is a dire need or the patient becomes infectious during the stay. Ortho/neuro patients on 2200; post-surgical infectious and non-infectious patients; bacteremia and sepsis on 2100; altered mental status; heart failure; renal failure (hemodialysis and PD); electrolyte abnormalities; diabetes; GI bleeds; and endo pre/post-op patients. Tele-neuro consult processes. Expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Rotating weekends and holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: PCU competencies preferred.
