• NRP Advanced Provider certification required; NRP Essentials not accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Previous labor and delivery or antepartum experience preferred.

Unit Details:

• Postpartum unit with Level IV maternal care and Level 3 NICU support.
• Typical procedures include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips.
• Patient ratios are typically 3:1 or 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity.
• Uses CPN.
• Annual birth volume is approximately 12,000 births per year, about 1,000 births per month.
• No PCTs at night.

Shift & Scheduling:

• No call.
• Rotating weekends.
