Additional Details:
In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver’s license.
Driver’s license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.
Required Credentials: Ascension Pharmacology 1 or 2 exam required; minimum 80% score with only 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Medical Surgical exam required; minimum 80% score with only 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies exam required; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score with only 2 attempts allowed. Ascension EKG exam required; minimum 80% score with only 2 attempts allowed.
Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
Unit Details: Cares for medically complex step-down/progressive care/med-tele patients requiring telemetry, frequent monitoring, and specialized interventions. Patient population includes cardiac, neuro/stroke, dialysis patients (dialysis provided by an outside contracted company), post-operative, respiratory, and general med/surg overflow. Performs comprehensive respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and hemodynamic assessments. Manages telemetry monitoring, IV drips including cardiac, vasoactive, and insulin infusions, central lines, PICC lines, oxygen therapy, high-flow oxygen, and CPAP/BiPAP.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. No on call.
Floating Requirements: May float to other med/surg units.
