Required Skills/Experience: MS/Tele. Telemetry. Interpretation of dysrhythmias. Telemetry monitoring. Use of Rapid Response Teams. Feeding tube care and management. IV therapy/phlebotomy. Blood product administration. Central line blood draw. Peripheral line care/management. PICC line management. Starting IVs.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Acute leukemia population, primarily newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients. Medical unit with high number of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and falls prevention. Uses B450 monitors with GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds.

Shift & Scheduling: Day shift 07:00-19:30 or night shift 19:00-07:30. Weekends: variable based on unit needs. If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirements: Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.
