Required Skills/Experience:

• Post-operative open-heart care experience required.
• Chest tube and other drain management experience required.
• Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access required.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips and recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms required.
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities required.
• Experience with the following procedures and equipment required: assisting with chest tube removal; assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires; management of temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices; use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Critical care experience highly preferred.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
• Every other weekend.
• No call.
