Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Crisis intervention, including de-escalation techniques and appropriate medication management for patients in crisis such as suicidal ideation or aggression.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Assessing patients' mental health status, including recognizing psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems through patient histories, behavioral observation, and diagnostic tools.
- Developing individualized care plans for patients with mental health and behavioral issues, including setting goals, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
- Administering psychiatric medications, monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions, and knowledge of psychotropic medications.
Unit Details:
- ADOL cares for patients ages 12-18.
- Serenity is a lower-acuity adult unit.
- ITU is a higher-acuity adult unit for patients with thought disorder diagnoses.
- SRAD serves patients with a senior lifestyle.
- VINE is a lower-acuity adult unit.
- Monitoring patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Includes weekends. Days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract.
Floating Requirements:
- Floating is based on greatest need.
