Required Skills/Experience: Crisis intervention required, including de-escalation techniques and appropriate medication management for patients in crisis such as suicidal ideation or aggression.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Mental health assessment of psychiatric, substance use, and behavioral concerns, including taking patient histories, observing behavior, and using diagnostic tools. Individualized psychiatric care planning, including goal setting, interventions, and outcome evaluation. Psychiatric medication administration and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions; knowledge of psychotropic medications preferred.

Unit Details: Behavioral health populations may include adolescents ages 12-18, lower-acuity adult patients, higher-acuity adult patients with thought disorder diagnoses, and senior lifestyle patients. Monitoring physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend coverage required. Days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract.

Floating Requirements: Floating where the greatest need is.
