    References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

    Required Skills/Experience: 1-2 years of Tele experience.

    Unit Details: Uses Allscripts. Mixed telemetry/PCU unit that may house COVID patients if needed, with temporary walls and an air handling system. Telemetry uses Phillips monitors; nurses are expected to validate monitor tech interpretations and document every 4 hours or more frequently as needed. Common drips include Cardizem, amiodarone, bumex, Lasix, integrillin, octreotide, and protonix. No vents; high-flow O2 for COVID stepdown patients and patients' home CPAP. Common diagnoses include AMI, stroke/TIAs, pneumonia, renal/dialysis, afib RVR, SIRS, and diabetes. No IV team. Support staff include tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs. Charge nurse is present 24/7 and may take 0-2 patients when needed. Tele ratios are 1:4; PCU/Stepdown ratios are 1:3.

    Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (days: Saturday and Sunday; nights: Friday and Saturday).

    Floating Requirements: May float to all MS units.
