Required Skills/Experience: Med Surg experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 3 years of experience preferred.
Unit Details: Uses Allscripts and Philips monitors. RN ratios are 1:4 on Tele and 1:3 on PCU/Stepdown. Mixed Med Surg/telemetry/PCU unit; may house COVID patients if needed with temporary walls and an air handling system. Nurses are expected to validate monitor tech interpretations and document every 4 hours or more frequently as needed. Cardizem, amiodarone, bumex, Lasix, integrillin, octreotide, and protonix drips. No IV team. High-flow O2 for COVID step-down patients and home CPAP. Common diagnoses include AMI, stroke/TIA, pneumonia, renal/dialysis, AFib with RVR, SIRS, and diabetes.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; for nights, Fri & Sat.
Floating Requirements: May float to all MS units.
