    Additional Information

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

    Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Required Skills/Experience: Majority of experience must be cardiac; heavy cardiac unit. Drip experience required.

Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. If previously worked for Marshfield, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission, and previous Marshfield employment must be disclosed in the submission. Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not always guaranteed.

Unit Details: Average nurse-patient ratios are 1:5 on days/evenings and 1:5-7 on nights (average 6; must be comfortable with 7 patients). Up to 75% of patients may be cardiac, including pre/post caths, pre-CABG, chest pain, NSTEMIs, and other procedural cardiac cases; general diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, diabetes, dialysis, altered mental status, nephrology, hematology, wounds, and overflow strokes. RNs titrate drips including insulin, heparin, nitro, diltiazem, and lasix. Tele techs provide 24/7 monitoring from another location; nurses have a unit monitor to verify rhythm capture. Charge RNs usually carry patients, but generally not a full assignment so they can serve as a resource. Nurse aides average 1:9 on days/evenings and 1:14 on nights when full. Respiratory support and equipment include continuous CPAP and BiPAP, high flow, vapotherm, nebulizers, and chest PT; no vents.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Every other holiday. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. No call.

Floating Requirements: Float generally to other Med/Surg floors; staff rotation is used to keep floating fair. May need to float outside the Med/Surg cluster, especially for 1:1 patient observer needs; if the clinician has other specialty experience, they may float there.

Travel RN Job Salary & Responsibilities

Your travel RN salary is based on your specialty, experience, and where you secure your assignment. Registered Nurse job descriptions focus on technical knowledge and supervisory skills; attention to detail; and communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in critical situations. But, an RN’s responsibilities also require a combination of compassion, patience, and resilience.

This isn’t news to you. You came to Trusted because you’ve tried RN staffing agencies without the personal support you need. This doesn’t surprise us, either. We’re a team of Trusted nurses who’ve been in your shoes (those comfy, non-slip shoes). We’ll help advance your career on your terms.
