Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Oncology experience preferred.
Required Credentials:
- Pass/fail exam on Friday during orientation. Open-book exam on skills learned; must receive 90% to pass or contract will be terminated.
- Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam must be passed during onboarding.
Special Requests:
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details:
- Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patient population.
- May occasionally titrate insulin and Cardizem drips.
- Common drips/medications include chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix.
- Common respiratory equipment includes high flow.
- Uses Alaris IV pumps and Lyko lifts; additional lift equipment available.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Self-scheduling, balanced to unit needs.
Floating Requirements:
- Floats to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care.
