    Additional Information

    References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Experience with hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis in acutes required.
    • 2 years chronic required if no pediatric experience; 1 year chronic required if pediatric experience.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • 1 year acute preferred if chronic experience.
    • Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
    • Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

    Required Credentials:

    • If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (7/13/23)

    Special Requests:

    • RTO restrictions: Minimal; no RTO during first 2 weeks due to orientation.

    Unit Details:

    • Infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient population.
    • Ratios: Days 1:1-3; Nights 1:1.
    • This unit is primarily an outpatient area; inpatients receive dialysis in their rooms.
    • Outpatient is only hemodialysis; inpatient includes hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Weekend requirement: Yes.
    • Call required: only with Peritoneal Dialysis experience.

    Floating Requirements:

    • Float to inpatient as needed. Typically 1:1 staffing ratio on inpatient with bedside RN staff support readily accessible.
