Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
All positions at Lovelace Health Facilities require New Mexico fingerprinting to be completed before their start date. This means fingerprint results will need to be obtained before the facility compliance deadline. Failure to fully complete the fingerprint requirement within three business days of accepting an assignment at Lovelace may lead to delayed results from the New Mexico DOH. In the event results are delayed, the facility may choose to push the clinician's start date until results are in.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must be able to start own IVs.
- Previous Charge Experience: Required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 2 years experience preferred.
- OB emergency delivery preferred.
- Neonatal emergencies preferred.
Special Requests:
- Excessive RTO requests are not accepted.
Unit Details:
- Neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.
- Medical-surgical community-based ED caring for respiratory, GI/GU, cardiac, neuro, minor trauma, OB/GYN, and integumentary cases.
- Provides initial medical care for strokes, STEMIs, major trauma, and pediatrics prior to transfer.
- May keep infants <11 weeks in the NICU.
- Chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis, RSI, splinting, procedural sedation, restraints, vacuum D&C, central lines, and US-guided IVs.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity and activity: 1:4 if ESI 3, 1:5 if ESI 4-5.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- 3 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule minimum.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to MS/ICU (4 patients), ICU, or IMC.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
