Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
- 24 months of experience in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele or Med surg / Telemetry.
- Experience, comfort, and proficiency with heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin drips.
- Must be able to comfortably and confidently read EKG/ECG, including all tele-related duties and responsibilities (rhythm strips, dysrhythmia reads).
Required Credentials:
- Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment required; minimum passing score of 80%.
Special Requests:
- Minimum 50-mile radius; no local candidates.
- Past UPH Float Pool FTE or PRN employees cannot work travel in another market if they currently work there or worked there within the past 12 months; this does not apply to prior UPH travel staff.
- Holiday update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- No call.
- Every other weekend.
- Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
Floating Requirements:
- Required to float across Med Surg, BH, ED, ICU, and some post-procedural areas as needed; there is no home unit. Primary care will be Med Surg, floating across units where assistance is needed most based on census/staffing.
Previous Employment Requirements:
- Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply
