Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1 year of charge nurse experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred, not required.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation; resources are provided, and a 90% passing score is required.
Preferred Credentials: Chemotherapy certification preferred.
Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details: Mixed PCU/Oncology/Med-Surg unit with adult patients; common diagnoses include oncology and trauma.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Self-scheduling.
Floating Requirements: Float to Med-Surg and PCU units at the same level of care.
Previous Employment Requirements: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity.
