Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Required Skills/Experience: Able to work in labor and postpartum.
Preferred Skills/Experience: L&D nurse who knows how to circulate preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission. Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.
Unit Details: Cares for postpartum, stable antepartum, newborns, GYN, Med-Surg overflow, and may serve as 2nd RN in SCN. Uses Omnicell, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medela Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call light system, and Medfusion Pumps. Ratios follow AWHONN standards: 1:3 mom/baby couplets, 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg patients, 1:3-4 pediatrics. Support staff include ward clerk from 0700-1900, CNA Tuesday – Thursday, Charge Nurse/Circulator without assignments, Resource Nurse without assignment, and LPN Scrub Nurse without assignment.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation with every 3rd weekend.
Floating Requirements: Expected to float as needed, primarily as helping hands, but may be expected to take a Med-Surg patient when needed, as the unit will take a Med-Surg patient from time to time. Must be willing to float to Med-Surg and Tele.
