Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years LDRP exp.
- Management has approved to accept Postpartum-only, L&D, or LDRP experience until specified otherwise.
Required Credentials:
- ASN / BSN
Unit Details:
- LDRP setting caring for labor, triage, postpartum, and newborn patients.
- AWHONN staffing guidelines; RN ratios 1:2 inactive labor, 1:1 active labor, 1:3-4 couplets.
- Labor and Delivery nurse responsibilities include labor management, circulating cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage, newborn resuscitation, Pitocin management, and epidural management.
- Dedicated scrub tech for laboring patients.
- Phlebotomy is performed by both nurses and lab staff.
- Telemetry monitoring includes monitoring/recovering cesarean sections in room unless under general anesthesia.
- RT available 24/7; OB MD and Anesthesia/CRNA team available.
- Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, bladder scanner, fetal monitoring, and HUGGS system.
- Free parking
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Float within region and scope of practice.
- Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH), as needed within scope of practice.
