Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Unit Details: Flex unit serving both floor and step-down patients based on patient and hospital needs. Diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses. Patient ratios: stepdown 3:1; floor 6:1. RNs will have orders to titrate drips. Common drips include heparin, insulin, antihypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbital, ketamine, morphine/dilaudid/fentanyl PCAs, and TPN. CPAP and BiPAP on floor and stepdown; HiFlow and vents in stepdown. If vent settings need adjustment, patients go to ICU. Remote telemetry surveillance center and central monitoring are available on the unit. RNs are not expected to read their own strips. Uses Philips telemetry monitoring equipment.
Shift & Scheduling: Agency RN positions are posted as weekend positions. Expect to work about half of all WVUH recognized holidays. No call or standby requirement.
Floating Requirements: First to float or be pulled to other floor/stepdown units.
