Required Skills/Experience:
2 years of recent inpatient telemetry/PCU experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience caring for typical patient populations and common diagnoses/treatments, including pre-/post-cath care, CHF, AKI, COPD, CVA, and alcohol withdrawal, preferred.

Unit Details:
CCTs monitor ECG rhythms on telemetry patients 24/7; ACTs assist with transport, admissions/discharges, IV and Foley insertion, ADLs, and limited medication administration.
Patient population includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, Covid, and OHS patients once downgraded from ICU.
Includes post-procedure care for pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab patients.
Uses non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro.

Shift & Scheduling:
No call required.
Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends; major holidays may be required.
Required to pick up 1 additional shift during each 4-week schedule period.

Floating Requirements:
May float to intensive care units for a telemetry/medical appropriate assignment, medical-surgical units, and Renown South Meadows, up to competency level.
