Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Oncology experience preferred.
Required Credentials:
- Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation; must score 90% to pass.
Special Requests:
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Unit Details:
- Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients.
- May occasionally titrate insulin and Cardizem drips. Common drips/medications include chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix.
- Common respiratory equipment includes high flow.
- Uses Alaris IV pumps; Lyko lifts are available in even-numbered rooms with additional lift equipment available.
- Support staff includes nursing assistants, charge nurse, PT/OT, RN case manager, social worker, educator, and dietitian.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Self-scheduling, balanced to unit needs.
Floating Requirements:
- Floats to other Med/Surg and PCU units; float assignments remain at the same level of care.
