Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years ICU/Neuro experience required.
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Continuous IV sedation.
- ICP monitoring.
- Vent experience.
- CRRT management.
- Spinal drains.
- Bolts/ICP monitoring.
- Limited neuro experience is acceptable; candidates with no neuro experience will not be accepted.
Unit Details:
- Adult and geriatric patient population.
- Neuro/stroke patients, vascular surgeries, multi-level back surgeries, and general critical care patients.
- Fresh post-op craniotomy; a-lines and central lines; neuro patients with NIH evaluations.
- Hemodialysis is managed by dialysis staff; CRRT is managed by the RN.
- General ICU with a heavy neuro focus.
- No CABG patients. No ECMO.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- You must be willing to float, work weekends, and generally just be very flexible.
- Float all 3 ICUs as there's no specific unit assignment (CCU/SCU/NCU). NCU is primarily neuro patients, but CCU and SCU can have neuro patients as well. Must be willing to float to ED to care for CC admits.
