Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience: Charge experience required. Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital required.
Special Requests: Permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility.
Unit Details: This is a 60% ED and 40% critical access charge role. Stabilizes, treats, and discharges patients when possible; transfers emergent cases requiring services not offered onsite. Works closely with local ambulance service; DHART and LifeFlight of Maine provide helicopter trauma transfer support. TeleEmergency, Telepsych, and Teleneonatal are available via DHMC.
Shift & Scheduling: Fri/Sat/Sun nights; every weekend. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float to Med/Surg and Stepdown; must be willing to take Stepdown patients and help with Med/Surg patients.
