Required Skills/Experience: L&D, postpartum, routine nursery, and intermediate nursery experience; nurses must be able to be independent in all areas of care.
Unit Details: L&D/PP/MB setting in a small-unit environment where each RN backs up the other and must be able to jump quickly between assignments. Not a high-risk department. Titrates drips including Pitocin induction/augmentation, insulin, and magnesium sulfate. One OR within the unit; main OR staff scrub/circulate. OB is on call 24/7 and almost always in house with labor. Equipment/systems include ventilator (stabilize/transfer only), Bubble CPAP, central monitoring for fetal strips, maternal telemetry read by ICU staff, and FE Centricity Perinatal. CNA II/unit secretary support, charge nurse on unit, and house supervisor in house.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. 1 major and 1 minor holiday if applicable. Shift trades are allowed. Call or standby requirement to be discussed.
Floating Requirements: Expected to float as helping hands in other units.
Special Requests: Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
