Additional Details:
Required Skills / Experience: Med/Surg experience in an acute care facility within the last (2) two years
Preferred Skills / Experience: Experience in the management of cardiac patients
Additional Education / Training / Experience by Department:
North 3 (Cardiac unit): ACLS, Telemetry Experience (Required). Preferred: PCI (Cardiac Cath) Course / Experience managing post Cardiac Surgery/telemetry patients and post Cardiac Intervention patients including femoral sheath monitoring / Experience with post Cardiac Cath and post pacer patients
Mugar 4 (Oncology, Stroke, Palliative): Preferred: Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification, Chemotherapy practicum
Mugar 5 (Surgical & Dialysis): Preferred: Obtain CAPD Certification, Obtain Drug certification, Experience in the care of Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, ventilated patients, and patients receiving procedural sedation
Mugar 6 (Ortho, Neuro, Post-Op, Surgery): Preferred: Orthopedic certification
Required Credentials: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
CCHC Pharmacology Exam (pass prior to start date)
CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam (pass prior to start date)
Unit / Facility Details: Proof of Identification: Driver's License or Passport
Special Requests: Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned a Basic Arrhythmia exam & a Pharmacology exam. If you fail the exams twice, this will result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend
