Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Ventriculostomy, ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, tPA, acute stroke management, and post-craniectomy experience required.
Special Requests:
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Unit Details:
- Common diagnoses/patient population include ventriculostomy patients, strokes with/without tPA, and crani cases.
- RNs are required to titrate drips and may manage a wide variety of physician-ordered drips.
- Tele tech staffed every shift; nurses read and interpret their own strips using Phillips monitors.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Rotating every other holiday.
Floating Requirements:
- Travelers float first. Being a higher level of care, nurses can float to any unit in the hospital including intermediate and general floors. Intermediate is a 1:3 ratio; on a general floor they would take 1:4.
