Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have delivery room high risk resuscitation experience, IV start, and lab draw experience.
Required Credentials:
- Cardiac STABLE required.
Special Requests:
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- If previously employed at the facility, exceptions may be made but must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System.
Unit Details:
- Uses Epic.
- Level 2B NICU caring for infants 32 weeks and greater.
- Common diagnoses/types of patients: premature infants 32+ weeks, late preterm, sepsis, hypoglycemia, requiring oxygen (NC, Hi Flow NC, CPAP), NOWS/NAS, and feeding difficulties.
- Babies that need ventilation will be stabilized and transferred to Boise.
- May initiate drips for short-term management prior to transport to a higher level of care.
- Common titratable and/or set rate drips: Dopamine, Epinephrine.
- CPAP used routinely; vents available for emergencies.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekends as needed.
- Holiday requirement: based on unit needs.
- No call.
- Staff cannot work more than five shifts in a row.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float.
- Travelers required to float to like units within the valley (Nampa NICU and Boise NICU) to take a like assignment; in Meridian, travelers would not be expected to take a vented patient in Boise.
