Additional Details:

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

ER profiles must include the size of the facility / # beds and the Trauma Level designation (if any).

Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Cannot be currently or recently (within 6 months) employed with network; must have left in good status if a former employee.

Unit Details: Expected ratios: days/evenings 1:5; nights 1:10. Pediatric and adolescent inpatient acute crisis unit caring for patients ages 6-17. The unit has separate child and adolescent sides; children commonly present with dysregulation/behavior issues, and adolescents are often admitted for acute suicidal ideation or attempt. Uses a Humane Wrap and Hover Jack to transport patients to the secure room.

Shift & Scheduling: Orientation for all Oregon facilities is in Portland, OR for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Day shift 7:00-19:00 or night shift 19:00-7:00. No call. Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: May float to other units and Providence facilities based on skill set, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent. If asked to float to Seaside for consecutive shifts, hotel accommodations are offered; facility gives as much notice as possible when floating to Seaside.
