Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1-year current acute care Postpartum hospital experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• High-risk postpartum experience preferred.
• Level 2 nursery experience preferred.

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios are 3-4 couplets per RN.
• Equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs machines and CPN monitors.
• Uses CPN.
• Typical procedures include point-of-care glucose monitoring, breastfeeding support, postpartum hemorrhage management, assisting with circumcisions, and hypertension assessment/management.
• High-risk postpartum patient population; low-risk patients are separated out on a free-standing LDRP across the street.
• Busy postpartum unit; the hospital delivers 400-500 babies per month.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Scheduling is flexible.
