Required Skills/Experience

First-time travelers are accepted subject to skills and management review.
Experience in moderate sedation is required.
Cath lab experience is required.
The clinician must be comfortable with monitoring sedation and gtt titration.
Experience with an endovascular approach and EVAR is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience

ICU experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate has experience in either Cath lab or IR and then specialized in endovascular cases.

Required Credentials

Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing.

Special Requests

You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.
RTO requires manager approval.

Unit Details

The patient population is adults.
Likely 1-2 cases per day.
The unit includes a new hybrid room.
Procedures include open and closed procedures, TCAR (transcarotid arterial revascularization), TEVAR (thoracic endovascular aortic repair), EVAR, TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve repair), TMVR (transcatheter mitral valve repair), AIFF (aortoiliac femoral-femoral angiogram), and femoral bypass.
Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Siemens and Philips X-ray and hemodynamic systems.
The clinician may be expected to precept students.

Shift & Scheduling

The first week includes 4 x 10hr shifts with a preceptor.
Weekend rotation requires flexibility; likely every other or every third weekend.
Call coverage is 24hr on two weekends a month, with nightly call 1-2 times a week.
Likely to work every other holiday.
Schedule cycle comes out every 4 weeks.

Floating Requirements

Floating includes assisting within the Cath lab for peripheral and structural procedures.
