Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 3 years of OR experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience teaching others and developing courses, including direct teaching and evaluating the learning process. Experience with teaching theories and learning models. Experience working with and teaching utilizing simulation manikins and software. Experience as a clinical staff educator.
Required Credentials: Experience and national certifications may be considered in place of the bachelor's degree upon approval of the Vice President of Nursing, with a commitment to obtain a bachelor's degree within 3 years of hire.
Preferred Credentials: Master of Science in Nursing degree strongly preferred.
Unit Details: Provides education and instruction for clinical staff, serves as a resource for healthcare education and training programs, supports education development with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators, and works with the Quality Management team to identify educational opportunities and support continuous improvement. Uses simulation training with mannequins and simulation software. Uses Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Shift & Scheduling: Holidays as required.
