Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Impella, HM3 LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard experience required. Basic Arrhythmia experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred.
Required Credentials: Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. CVCT ICU cares for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmia management. Typical assignment is 1-2 patients; may be assigned 3 general care patients if acuity is low and staffing resources are limited. Assignments often change throughout the shift as patients transfer out of the ICU and new planned admissions from the OR or unplanned admissions from the ER, referring facilities, or the community arrive. Planned and emergent procedures frequently take place on the unit.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/Night, 12-hr shifts, working 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. Every other weekend. Some holidays. No call.
