Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience in thoracic, transplant, and vascular or cardiac (score of 3 or above). Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria (Telemetry exam required prior to start). Competency Renewal: Travelers need to have an active telemetry competency on file per calendar.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with multiple service lines including traumas, transplant, cardiac and PV highly preferred.
Special Requests: No references will be accepted.
Shift & Scheduling: Every weekend, Day/Evening, Thurs - Sunday, 12-hr shifts, 0640 - 1910, no call. Weekend rotations and some holidays will be required.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float. The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. Float to all service lines including trauma and emergency cases.

Required Credentials:
- Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria.
- A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:
Adult Exam:

100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]

Passing score of 80% or higher

Pediatric Exam

Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia

Passing score of 80% or higher

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts Vaya will notify recruitment of the results. Recruitment will notify the hiring manager that the traveler’s assignment will be cancelled.

Competency Renewal: Travelers need to have an active telemetry competency on file per calendar
Unit/Facility Details:
- Tier 1 multiple specialty (cardiac and transplant).
- Strongest: Cardiac(ECMO, transplant (kidney and liver), Endovascular, laparoscopic cases, and trauma
Special Requests:
- Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 Requests
- RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process. Generally, no more than 2 weeks off in a contract. If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract. Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required. Some units are stricter than others regarding holidays (ED allows for 1 holiday off).
Floating Requirements:
- All service lines
- During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete contract.
