References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have unit/specialty experience in the past 6 months. Full 3 years of recent ICU experience required. Experience must include either Neuro or CV. First-time travelers accepted only with 3 years of experience, including 2 years in the ICU.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience working in a similar-size ICU preferred.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Maximum 2 attempts allowed on the Dysrhythmia/EKG exam. Pass/fail simulation lab on Day 1 of orientation. Skills validation for trauma, neuro, and specialty devices as needed.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.
Unit Details: Level 1 trauma center ICU. Adult trauma patients over age 15, including falls, GSW, blunt trauma, MVAs, ex-lap, crani, specialty neurosurgery, CVA, status post-TPA, COVID, sepsis, and ARDS. Medical/cardiac ICU population includes sepsis, COVID, DKA, flu, ARDS, vascular surgeries, CRRT, CABG, valves, post-cath, TAVR, IABP, Impella, ECMO, TandemHeart, and esophagectomies. RNs are required to titrate drips including propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, dilaudid, ketamine, rocuronium, levophed, vasopressin, cardene, labetalol, dopamine, dobutamine, heparin, and insulin. No monitor techs on unit; RNs interpret their own strips. Uses GE monitors and Draeger, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett 840, V60 BiPAP, and Airvo respiratory equipment. Charge nurses do not take patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend or up to 3 weekends per month if the unit is busy. Night shift weekends are Friday-Saturday. No additional call/standby shifts required.
Floating Requirements: First to float; may float to Tele with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed, between all 3 ICUs, and to sister facility Mercy Gilbert.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
