Required Skills/Experience:
- ICU experience with drips, vents, and BiPAPs.
- Must be able to read and verify telemetry strips.
Required Credentials:
- Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation; must receive 90% to pass or contract will be terminated.
- You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Special Requests:
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Cannot have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the last 12 months.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
- RTO must be requested upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
Unit Details:
- Medical ICU caring for patients with DKA, STEMI, stroke, atrial fibrillation with RVR, COVID, COPD exacerbations, PE, sepsis, respiratory failure, and MI; may stabilize light GI cases before transfer.
- Titrates vasopressors and sedation drips including levo, neo, cardene, precedex, and propofol.
- No nurse aides on the unit.
- Hospitalist is in house 24/7; intensivist is in house during the day and available via telemedicine at night.
- RT is shared with the ER and handles ventilator adjustments.
- Centralized tele monitor techs are not located in house; uses Draeger tele monitors.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every third weekend.
- Holiday requirement includes 4th of July.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Will float to a lower level of care, including PCU and MedSurg. Training provided.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
