Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in a high acuity ICU. Must be able to titrate complex IV gtts to include vasopressors.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Level II trauma, certified STEMI, and stroke center; must be able to care for very complex patients.

Unit Details:

• Medical, surgical, trauma, and stroke patients.
• Patient ratios typically 1:2; may be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on patient acuity and available staffing; estimates not guarantees.
• Uses IV pumps, chest tubes, GE monitoring, Arctic Sun, glucometers, and feeding pumps.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekends as required by facility.
• Call requirements: stand by for low census, 1 hour to report.

Floating Requirements:

• Will float to areas of clinical competence.
