An interview may not be available prior to offer.
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Credentials:
- You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
- Pass/fail open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation; must score 90% to pass.
Special Requests:
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
- Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
- Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity.
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.
Unit Details:
- Variety of ICU acuity patients, including vented patients; BIS scoring, TTM, and rare IABP.
- RNs are required to titrate drips, including vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, and insulin.
- No nurse aides/patient care techs on the unit.
- eICU support.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period; night shift weekends are Fridays and Saturdays.
- Holidays rotate with permanent staff.
Floating Requirements:
- Can float to PCU or MedSurg.
