Additional Information
Required Credentials:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Evidence of continuing education is appropriate for skill level and area of practice.
Preferred Credentials:
- MSN preferred.
- CRASE training: If travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period, CRASE training will be required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous Medical-Surgical nursing preferred.
Unit Details:
- Provides direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures, including assessing patient conditions, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, initiating the computerized Plan of Care on admission, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Floating Requirements:
- Agency nurses will be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated.
