    Additional Details:

    References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

    Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips.

    Unit Details: Uses Epic and Mindray. Common patient population includes DKA, septic shock, alcohol withdrawal, hypoxemia, acute respiratory distress, and COVID. ICU RNs titrate drips including Propofol, Levophed, dobutamine, Precedex, fentanyl, insulin, esmolol, Versed, and ketamine. Charge nurse oversees MS, IMCU, and ICU on the same floor and does not take a patient assignment unless necessary. Hospitalist coverage is available 24/7, with intensivist coverage in house M-F 8-5 and via OHSU telemedicine after hours and on weekends. MS, IMCU, and ICU are on the same floor in a small community hospital setting with limited resources, and clinicians are expected to help as needed.

    Shift & Scheduling: 2 week schedule made out by management; nights they try to group 3-4 shifts in a row. Every other weekend. May be asked to join the holiday rotation if it falls on a regularly scheduled shift. No call.

    Floating Requirements: Could be asked to float to IMCU or MS and would be asked to take a full patient assignment. If they have prior ED experience, they may be asked to float to the ED. If they do not have ED experience, they could be asked to be helping hands in the ER.
