Unit Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Common diagnoses/treatments include DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure.
• Uses vents, IABP (Cath Lab stays on site), arterial lines, and CPAP.
• Patient ratio 1:4 depending on patient status.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Possible float to Med Surg if ICU is closed for shift.
• Must be willing and able to float to Med Surg and take a patient ratio of 1:6.
