Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. Relias EKG exam required.
Required Skills/Experience: Critical care experience; ICU or ED background or procedural background required. IR experience not required. Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. All adult IR procedures including body, vascular, neuro-interventional, and MSK procedures. Agency RNs assist with pre-procedure phone calls and provide pre- and post-procedure care. Procedural sedation commonly using Fentanyl and Versed; nurses administer sedation and monitor patients. Role includes titrating drips. Ultrasound, fluoroscopic, and CT guided procedures; bone biopsy. Hemodialysis access, interventional oncology, vascular disease, central line placement, port placement, embolization procedures, and clinical trials. Inpatient and outpatient population. Philips monitors.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. Call required: Weeknight (Monday – Thursday from 1800-0730) – would occur 3 or 4 times during the 13 week contract. Call required: Weekend (Friday 1800-Monday 0730) – would probably be 1 or 2 weekends during the 13 week contract. Once a week, the agency nurse may be designated to stay past the end of the shift if procedures need to be completed ("Backup"). May work past 1800 if performing a procedure. Agency RNs are expected to work every 5th or 6th Saturday 0800-1600 as needed. BJC policy: Every other weekend required.
