Required Skills/Experience:

• At least one year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or Interventional Radiology.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• At least three years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab preferred.
• Monitor role experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials:

• Conscious sedation training preferred.

Unit Details:

• Provides nursing care for invasive interventional radiology/cardiology procedures including angiography, embolization, cardiac catheterization, and other minimally invasive interventions.
• Role may include circulator, moderate sedation, scrub, and hemodynamic/procedural monitor responsibilities.
• Administers anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, contrast, and emergency drugs; manages contrast allergy considerations; performs sheath pulls and vascular access management; and monitors and documents hemodynamics, pressures, implants, supplies, and contrast usage.
• Uses sterile instruments, guidewires, catheters, sheaths, embolic materials, hemodynamic recorders, ECG, oxygen saturation monitoring systems, ultrasound, and IVUS.

Shift & Scheduling:

• On-call for the Interventional Unit as needed.
