Required Skills/Experience: -Level 3 or higher L&D experience and competency to manage high acuity labor patients, to include but not limited to - preeclampsia, preterm labor and delivery, management of laboring and antepartum patients less than 35 weeks gestation -IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate, blood administration, insulin, circulate C-sections, C-section recovery care -Hard Stop: Must care for couplets and be comfortable caring for normal newborn nursery patients (Level I care).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Level 2 nursery baby experience highly preferred. Comfortable with lower acuity NICU patient (Level II care). preferably level 3 or higher Labor and Delivery unit (i.e. an L&D that has a level 3 or higher NICU)
Preferred Credentials: Certification in inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient antepartum
Special Requests: You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Requested time off will not be accepted between 8/5/26-8/20/26. Requested time off requires manager approval.
Unit Details: Cares for high-risk through low-intervention laboring patients, including antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, and infants; supported by a Level 3 NICU. Unit support includes unit secretary, scrub tech support for L&D RNs, charge nurse, VAT team if needed, RT 24/7, OB physician team, and anesthesia/CRNA. Patient ratios: Antepartum 1:3; inactive labor 1:2; active labor 1:1; postpartum/couplet care 1:3 couplets. Free Parking
Shift & Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, 0630/1830; must work days and nights throughout the contract. Some requisitions may be posted for straight nights; otherwise, comfortability with variable day/night shifts is required throughout the contract. Every other weekend. No call. Holidays as needed.
Floating Requirements: Will be required to work Postpartum/Couplet care throughout the contract.
