Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Pre/post-op experience. Comfort working with trachs.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Conscious sedation.
Unit Details: High-acuity, highly surgical Level 4 NICU. Neonatal, infant, and pediatric patient population, including 23-week neonates through 1-year-olds. Cares for patients requiring specialists and surgery, including PPHN, bowel perforation/NEC, BPD, trach/G-button evals, pre-op cardiac anomalies/arrhythmias, gastroschisis/omphalocele, HIE, hydrocephalus, and peritoneal dialysis. CNAs on the unit work at the top of scope.
Shift & Scheduling: Every third weekend. Staff are required to work one extra shift every 3 weeks during periods of high census.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are first float and may float to PICU, CCU/Cardiac ICU, med surg floors, or other units with like assignments; there is no age limit to floating, and assignments will be compatible with the NICU skill set.
