Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience:
- Level III NICU experience.
- 2+ years performing neonatal assessments and caring for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, oral and IV medications, OG and NG feedings, and G-tubes.
Unit Details:
- Level 3 NICU.
- Delivers nursing care to neonates and assists with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, and admissions.
- Uses conventional ventilators (Draeger), high frequency ventilators (jet and oscillator), nitric oxide, cool cap, MedFusion pumps, Smart pumps, Spacelab monitors, MAK for medications, and Accudose.
- Patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 for critical and intermediate infants; 3:1 for infants who are growing and feeding.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
- Able and willing to float to PICU and PEDS within scope.
Special Requests:
- Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility.
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
- Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location.
- Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
- Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating.
- Must disclose any previous Sanford Health employment in the submission; previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission.
