Required Skills/Experience:

• Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Unit Details:

• Level IV NICU.
• Common diagnoses include prematurity (22-36 weeks), HIE, neurological disorders (seizures, hydrocephalus, neural tube defect, etc.), cardiac lesions (PDA, Tet, Coarct, Truncus, etc.), respiratory issues (RDS, TTN, BPD, etc.), renal conditions, GI issues (GI reflux, NEC, Hirschsprung's, etc.), tracheostomies, GI ostomies, and anomalies (TEF, CDH, etc.).
• Occasional bedside surgeries including PDA ligation, chest tubes, and Penrose drains.
• Primary nursing care model.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements:

• Float to PICU with a similar patient population to the NICU.
