Additional Details:
RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- First-time travelers accepted only with experience in Neuro/Spine/ENT.
- Circulating required.
- Must have extensive experience in Hepatobiliary, Whipple, and abdominal organ transplant.
- Proficient in complex Spine, ENT, Neuro, and intraabdominal transplant.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Scrub experience preferred.
Unit Details:
- Adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient population.
- Neurosurgery cranial, neurosurgery spine, orthopedic spine, ENT, transplant, and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery.
- Level 1 trauma with complex, high-acuity procedures.
Shift & Scheduling:
- BJC policy: Every other weekend required.
- Start times between 0930-1100 as needed.
- Call required: after shift until 0630 possible wkd; response time 45 minutes. Amount of call is dependent on unit needs and may change. Due to staffing, 5-6 call shifts in a 6 week period - current average is one 12-hour weekday call shift and one weekend Sat and Sun shift per 6 week schedule.
- Working after call: if on call after midnight, team member is given up to 8 hours of rest time. Due to daily staffing, team member can be called in to provide breaks, lunches, or shift relief. Example: regular next day shift 0630-1900; if you worked on call until 2-3am, home to rest until potentially called in to provide lunches at 11-12 and kept until 1900. This is avoided when possible.
Floating Requirements:
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, to skill set level.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
