Preferred Skills/Experience: Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus.

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests: Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away. Up to 40 hours of time off can be approved. Time off is not approved in the first 2 weeks of the contract.

Unit Details: Neonate, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population. Combined pediatric cardiac and medical critical care patients. Cardiac cases may include DORV, TOF, HLHS, Norwood Sano/BT Shunt, TGA, and heart transplant. Medical cases may include history of TBI, RSV+, Rhino/Entero+, DKA, trauma, seizures, and varying post-op cases including ortho, neuro, liver and kidney transplant, and heme/onc; no chemo. High census and high acuity. Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if acuity is high maybe 2:1.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. 3 weekends per six-week schedule.

Floating Requirements: May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs.
