Required Skills/Experience:

• 24 months of current Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience required.
• Neurology/neurosurgery care experience required.
• Orthopedic care experience required.
• Drip experience with Heparin, PCA, and 3% Sodium/Na required.
• EKG/strip reading, measuring, and telemetry experience required.
• No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one travel assignment in the previous 12 months.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Trauma care experience highly preferred.
• Experience with telemetry, lift equipment, chest tubes, and Airvo highly preferred.

Preferred Credentials:

• De-escalation certificate preferred; SAMA accepted.

Special Requests:

• Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees are not eligible to work travel in another market if they currently work at UPH or worked there within the past 12 months; prior UPH travel employees are exempt.
• Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Unit Details:

• Heavy neuro trauma, neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patient population.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every 3rd weekend.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Required to float across all campuses: IMMC, ILH, and MWH.
