Required Skills/Experience:

• Heart monitor interpretation, trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, phlebotomy, and post-op heart surgery experience.
• Drips: Primacor, amiodarone, dobutamine, heparin.

Special Requests:

• RTO requires nurse manager approval.

Unit Details:

• Intermediate/Step Down cardiac unit specializing in post-op coronary bypass graft, valve surgery, chest pain, dysrhythmia with pre/post pacemaker/AICD placement, pre/post Cath Lab, and CHF.
• Uses Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, external pacers, and pulse generators.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• No call.
• Holidays based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements:

• Could float within scope of practice and below.
• Typically notified about 1 hour prior to shift beginning via Smart Square.
